It's not often that I get to take my couples out for some Burger King during their engagement session. So when Sancho and Amanda agreed to my idea, I was pretty excited. Why? Not because I felt like a burger (though they did look SO delicious after a couple months of dieting!)- but because Burger King was the place where these two met. Well, sort of...

Sancho + Amanda had been chatting on and off for a few weeks when it so happened that his truck broke down in a Burger King parking lot. Sweetly, Amanda came to his rescue and so they laugh telling people that they first met at Burger King. Well, when it came time to propose, Sancho set Amanda up and faked another truck "break down" at the same Burger King! She had no idea, and he proposed right there. So of course, we had to have a little BK in their engagement shoot.

Other than that, these two spent most of the shoot just looking sharp. I'm excited for their wedding next fall!

One of my favorite things about living in a university town is that people are always going through new life changes- graduating college, moving, and getting engaged!

Kendall contacted me to document his proposal to Isabel on the Texas Tech campus. It was so sweet and Isabel had the best reaction. Knowing this couple for only a few minutes, I could feel their excitement at the culmination of their dating/college years. This is why I love my job! Congrats you two!

I really think that I laughed the entire session with these two- they are constantly cracking each other up and it's so clear that they truly enjoy each other. I love, love, love shooting in October- definitely my favorite month to photograph anything. Omar and Amy will be getting married next June and I loved getting to hear about how they met and got engaged. Thank you guys for a great session!

Before I share the photos of this gorgeous couple, let me first just say....

32 degrees. Light snow.

That was the forecast for the day of their photoshoot. I knew that I was certainly willing to shoot in the cold- there is something about the quiet winter atmosphere that can be so romantic- but I wasn't so sure it would be the most comfortable situation for my clients. That's when I got an email from Betsy saying that "Cole and I are willing to freeze a bit". I wanted to hug her right through my computer!

Snow it did, and freeze they did- but I am so, so thankful that they were willing to do so. I will never forget walking with them, talking about their past and future adventures, and trying not to shiver too much! This couple is definitely special- not just because they are willing to stand and smile in the freezing cold- but because they knew it was just another chance for to make a memory together- memories that they'll get to reminisce about every time they see their engagement images.

I can't wait for their wedding and to see where life takes them!

Shooting Josh + Abby's Engagement Session was a wonderful reminder of why I LOVE what I do. This couple reminded me that things don't happen by accident, and that God is very intentional and is the best writer of love stories- and I get to document those stories! These two are getting married next summer- and I can't wait for their big day!
